Located in the prestigious Burgundy vineyards, Douhairet-Porcheret has perpetuated the family tradition of excellence for almost 350 years. Cataldina and Vincent, passionate owners and cheerful creators, share the management of the estate, from vineyard to bottling. Douhairet-Porcheret Monthélie “Cuvée Miss Armande” is a highly sentimental, flagship village red Burgundy wine. It is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the estate’s home village of Monthélie. The cuvée is named in honor of Armande Douhairet, whom everyone called ‘La Miss’, the elegant and formidable lady who ran the domaine for decades and originally hired the legendary winemaker André Porcheret. Appearance: Brillant, translucent ruby red.
Nose: Highly aromatic, it opens with an explosion of fresh red cherries, raspberries, and wild strawberries, closely followed by elegant floral notes of violets and rose petals.
Palate: The entry is bright and fruit-forward with crunch, leading into a mid-palate of red currant and spice. The tannins are fine-grained and delicate.
Ageing: 12/14 months in French oak barrel (228 l fine-grain medium toast) and 2/3 months in stainless steel tank before bottling.
Pairing: Because of its bright acidity, this wine plays incredibly well with clean flavors, subtle herbs, and rich umami textures.
