The IGP Vaucluse Principauté d’Orange is the only IGP in France directly adjacent to a cru – and not just any cru, but Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With low yields and prestigious terroirs, this wine embodies a centuries-old savoir-faire, passed down through generations. It reflects an exceptional terroir, beautifully crafted by the winegrowers of Cellier des Princes. For more info, visit Cellier des Princes website . Appearance: Deep red coloured wine.
Nose: The nose shows expressive and complex aromas of blackcurrant, cherry-red with violet highlights.
Palate: On the palate, notes of tart red berries. Pleasant to drink young, it has a clean and frank attack on the palate, and is a supple, fruity wine.
Ageing: 9 months in concrete vats, then 3 months in bottle to round out and soften the tannins.
Pairing: With pizzas, sausages, grilled meats and generally with all types of Mediterranean cuisine. It’s a typical bistro wine, an everyday wine.
